Heavy Duty Plastic- Heavy Plastic Sheeting

Heavy Duty Plastic can be a multitude of plastic films. We define "heavy duty plastic" as one that will protect the application/surface for which it has been designed. That means a 3 mil self adhesive Carpet Plastic film, while only 3 mils thick is a heavy duty plastic because it will protect the carpeting beneath it from spills or work site dirt.

HDPE geomembranes are on the thicker side of the spectrum because they need to be this thick to protect the environment from oil spills during drilling, or stop destructive roots from penetrating the geomembrane.

Vapor Barriers products are heavy duty vapor barriers because they are designed to stop the transmission of vapors that can destroy flooring and in the case of radon, poison people.

Fire Retardant/flame retardant films are heavy duty films because they will not add to a flame source should a fire break out.
