Polypropylene Non Woven Geotextiles
Non-woven geotextiles come in a variety of weights ( ounces per square yard) to meet the needs of the application. The light-weight non-woven geotextiles are most often used for drainage, soil separation, and reinforcement. The non-woven fabrics can be prepared using a variety of procedures and look like felt fabrics. Non-woven geotextile material are more likely to stretch when compared to its woven counterpart. This aids in allowing water to flow along the plane of the fabric. This is particularly important while attempting to use geotextiles for draining water away from the soil or the road. It is also used in boat yards to act as a screen or sieve to collect paint chips and debris, and let the water flow through during repairs on the hull.
Non-woven geotextiles are effectively used to prevent soil migration.
Non-woven geotextiles are commonly used in waste and oil containment and are used as a liner underdayment. These geotextile fabrics designed with 100% polypropylene raw materials are engineered to resist ultraviolet deterioration, rotting, biological degradation, and natural occurring alkaline and acids.
