Heavy Duty HD 60 mil- Landfill & Waste Liners for Containment

GPS HD 60 mil- Landfill & Waste Containment

HDPE 60 Mil- Virgin Polyethylene Liner Gets The Job Done!

AKA 60 mil plastic sheeting

GPS HD 60 mil is a smooth, high quality, high density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane produced from specially formulated, virgin polyethylene resin. This polyethylene resin is designed specifically for flexible geomembrane applications. It contains approximately 97.5% polyethylene, 2.5% carbon black and trace amounts of antioxidants and heat stabilizers; no other additives, fillers or extenders are used. GPS HD has outstanding chemical resistance, mechanical properties, environmental stress crack resistance, dimensional stability and thermal aging characteristics. GPS HD has excellent resistance to UV radiation and is suitable for exposed conditions. These product specifications meet or exceed GRI GM13. In dept explanation below)

  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Outstanding stress crack resistance
  • Lowest permeability
  • History of proven performance
  • Meet or exceed all aspects of GRI GM 13

What type of containment liners are used to landfills ?

Landfill liners and waste containment systems are essential elements of any safe and successful waste management system. They are designed to protect the environment from the contamination that comes from landfills, waste disposal sites and other waste management activities. Landfill liners and waste containment systems are used to contain leachate, which is liquid that has been contaminated with hazardous material, and to prevent the contamination of groundwater, surface water, and soil.

There are a variety of landfill and waste liners available. The most common types of landfill liners are flexible, composite, and clay liners. Flexible liners, such as HDPE and LDPE, are made from a single layer of plastic and are often used in landfill applications because they are lightweight, durable, and cost effective. Composite liners are made up of two or more layers, usually a geotextile fabric and a plastic liner, and are often used in hazardous waste containment applications because of their high levels of permeability and durability. Clay liners are made up of layers of clay, sand, and gravel and are often used in landfill applications because of their high levels of impermeability.

What is the purpose of a landfill liner?

The purpose of landfill liners and waste containment systems is to keep hazardous material from leaking into the environment. These containment systems are designed to contain leachate and prevent it from leaking into groundwater, surface water, and soil. Leachate is a liquid that is contaminated with hazardous material, and it can be highly toxic to humans and animals if it is not properly contained. This is why it is essential to have a proper containment system in place when managing hazardous waste.

How to choose the right landfill liner for the job

When it comes to choosing the right landfill liners for a particular application, there are a few factors to consider. The first factor is the type of material that needs to be contained. Different types of materials require different types of liners, so it is important to get the correct type of liner for the job. The second factor is the environment where the liners will be used. Different environments require different types of liners, so it is important to get the correct type of liner for the job. Finally, the third factor is the size of the containment area. If a containment area is too small, the liner may not be able to contain all of the material, which can lead to environmental contamination.

Landfill liners and waste containment systems are essential elements of any safe and successful waste management system. They are designed to protect the environment from the contamination that comes from landfills, waste disposal sites and other waste management activities. The right type of liner is essential in order to ensure that hazardous material is properly contained and that the environment is protected. When it comes to choosing the right landfill liners for a particular application, it is important to consider the type of material that needs to be contained, the environment where the liners will be used, and the size of the containment area.
