Santa Fe Community College Sept 2017
Why did this college chose SolaWrap greenhouse cover? In a nutshell:
The team from SolaWrap films took off for Santa Fe New Mexico (Above) to help out with their new install. SolaWrap was their covering of choice due to the harsh wind, heat and cold temperatures. This is a year long project. They selected us because of our support. We were the only vendor to show up to help with the install. We made sure everything was done correctly.
We are scientists, consultants, collaborators, plant breeders, greenhouse assistants, agricultural economists, forage agronomists, beef producers, soils and crops specialists, wildlife biologists, biochemists, mycologists, genomicists, community members, teachers, life-long learners.
Nearly 400 of us come together from 20-plus countries to work at Noble Research Institute headquarters in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and research farms in the surrounding area, to carry out the vision of Lloyd Noble.
We hold a deep appreciation for agriculture and the people who produce our food. We combine our various backgrounds and expertise to find solutions to problems faced by farmers and ranchers. This, we believe, will produce lasting benefits for all mankind and the natural resources upon which we depend."
Solawrap ™- The greenhouse covering has been going strong through out Europe for over three decades now. That's how! In the Mediterranean growers have reported their tomato crops have come in 3 weeks ahead of schedule during the winter months. Best of all if these tomato crops have accomplished this growth in UNHEATED greenhouses.
Extreme Heat:
In Kuwait, this greenhouse covering showed off its durability and longevity in the extreme heat for 25 years until the war broke out and destroyed the testing facility. During that 25 year period, the original SolaWrap™ greenhouse covering/greenhouse plastic withstood the elements and performed its job to perfection. It did not become brittle or turn yellow.
Freezing Cold:
In Manitoba, Canada, in freezing temperatures, the strawberries are growing in the SolaWrap™ greenhouse in January. The only heat occurs at night during the night during the dead of winter.
Extreme Snow Load:
In New Hampshire a snow load test was performed. 4000 pounds of an 11 Foot high pile of snow was placed on top of a 6' x6' piece of SolaWrap™ attached to a frame. The whole thing survived without any damage..the connectors or the SolaWrap™
Strong Wind:
SolaWrap™ greenhouse plastic held up after 29 years in winds in excess of 100 mph in Alaska!
And this is why we are so confident SolaWrap™ will become your "one and done" greenhouse covering film for your greenhouse!
