[![Visit SolaWrapfilms.com](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/32796/484776bc-bbbf-4234-96dc-166f0f7728a5.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/32796/484776bc-bbbf-4234-96dc-166f0f7728a5) ##### **Let's get right to it:** 1.  Are you a hobbyist or a commercial grower? Does your livelihood depend on the film not ripping or degrading within 4- 6 years? 2.  Is your climate (Heavy snow, wind....) a concern for the stability of the greenhouse? 3. Is the cost of the film a consideration today, or can you pay more today but recover less with fewer to no failures important over time? 4. Learn more about your choices below, or simply call and get the answers you need now. Call 619-448-4439 or press the button from your cell phone.   ## **What kind of plastic is use for a greenhouse?** Regarding flexible plastic, polyethylene plastic is used for greenhouse covers and sidewalls. Sun destroys polyethylene. That's why you need a UV stabilized plastic to stand up to the sun. Generally the lesser expensive 6 mil plastic sheeting lasts maybe 4 years and then needs a recover. SolaWrap polyethylene sheeting has a 5 year UV rating and stands up to snow, wind, some hail, etc.   ## ****UV Resistant Greenhouse Plastic Sheeting**** SolaWrap™ (bubble greenhouse film) is a heavy duty plastic sheeting which is a UV resistant plastic greenhouse cover . It is transparent, energy saving, greenhouse filmthat has revolutionized the greenhouse industry. [See pictures here and read about the history of SolaWrap™.](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/solawrap-greenhouse-plastic-images?hsLang=en-us) This is the place to buy greenhouse plastic that lasts season after season, year after year. ![Winter Farming Channel 8 Maine.png](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Winter%20Farming%20Channel%208%20Maine.png?width=371&name=Winter%20Farming%20Channel%208%20Maine.png)![](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/hubfs/SolaWrap%20and%20a%20connector-%20Easy%20to%20install-jpg.jpeg)![](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Slide%20SolaWrap%20into%20the%20track%20of%20the%20connector-jpg.jpeg?width=308&height=254&name=Slide%20SolaWrap%20into%20the%20track%20of%20the%20connector-jpg.jpeg) Plants of all types do very well in a** SolaWrap™ greenhouses**! Some people use 6 mil plastic sheeting that is used as a greenhouse plastic- but it was not designed specifically for that function. 6 mil plastic is all around plastic. ** SolaWrap is a greenhouse plastic film** that was designed specifically for **greenhouses**. This film cares about the insulating factors, light diffusion and more.    Let's talk about this greenhouse plastic that is turning heads! ![](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/hubfs/SolaWrap%20Bubble%20Layer-jpg-1.jpeg)           **            ****                      ****[Greenhouse Plastic: ](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/why-solawrap/) ****11 Reasons to Use SolaWrap™ ** - 5 year warranty against UV degradation  - [R-Value 1.7- Its unique construction prevents any leaks or thermal bridges, so that up to 95% of the heat radiation is retained. ](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/why-solawrap/) - [83% transparency](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/why-solawrap/)  - Up to 83% diffused light (only product on the market with both high transparency and high diffusion) The air cushion bubbles (1,000 bubbles per sqm) ensure a diffuse interior illumination. - 120 lbs per square foot snow load rating (approx 15 feet of snow) - 100 mph wind rating (has survived 135 mph windstorms in Alaska) - Uniform illumination and a favorable microclimate promote plant growth. - Extremely Durable with Long-term UV protection - [30 years and still going for houses in Europe!](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/solawrap-greenhouse-plastic-images?hsLang=en-us) - Does not yellow or get brittle - [Flexible](https://www.solawrapfilms.com/why-solawrap/) so it can be rolled up inside wall curtains - [Easy to install! Center to center equals 4', 5' and 6'. The film sizes are true when used with the connectors. Actually film sizes are one inch less,  4 foot is 47 inches, 5 foot is 59 inches, and 6 foot is 71 inches **   ### **Are you considering anot****her greenhouse plastic film covering?** ** Ask this question:**** What was the film originally designed for?** Was it a string/scrim reinforced film that is known by another name used in the construction industry? Those films are out there pretending to be greenhouse films. SolaWrap has one purpose and that is to be **the best greenhouse film **in the industry. It is not a feeble attempt to repackage an off the shelf film and call it greenhouse plastic. [**Watch The Roll Up Curtain Installation here for our greenhouse covering.**](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/solawrap-roll-up-curtain-installation-video?hsLang=en-us) UV light is classified as energy with a wavelength ranging from 10nm to 380nm. Above 380nm energy is known as the visible light spectrum (visible for humans). the required UV for horticulture is called UV-A (315-380nm) because bees can see in that range and use that "light“ for orientation as well. SolaWrap transmission rate increases from 0% to over 80% within the range of 340 to 370nm. There is some minor transmission below 380 nm (in the UV-A) range. ![THickness of SolaWrap Greenhouse plastic-1](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/hs-fs/hubfs/THickness%20of%20SolaWrap%20Greenhouse%20plastic-1.jpg?width=528&name=THickness%20of%20SolaWrap%20Greenhouse%20plastic-1.jpg)   **[Download Installation Guide Here](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/hubfs/The%20Solawrap%20installation%20v.%2016.2.docx?hsLang=en-us)  or** **[Visit the installation guide here on the website.](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/solawrap-greenhouse-installation-guide-greenhouse-plastic?hsLang=en-us)** What happens when** SolaWrap greenhouse film** meets **Britespan building Structures**? More here](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/best-greenhouse-plastic/best-greenhouse-covering?hsLang=en-us)** ## **Greenhouse Plastic- Greenhouse Film** ### Reinforced plastic sheeting for greenhouse **Poly Scrim 14 Greenhouse** is a 14 mil, 3 ply laminate that combines 2 layers of U.V. stabilized polyethylene with a highly durable, high strength cord grid.  The U.V. additives in this film will protect your greenhouse from the deteriorating damage from the sun.  It's these U.V. stabilizing additives that makes this greenhouse plastic sheeting capable of out-performing other clear plastic products that lack this state of the art formulation.  The high strength cord that runs through the plastic offers extreme tear resistance.  Best of all, this film remains lightweight. Custom fabrication allows for pipe loops, grommets and zippers. **COLORS:**  Clear, Black, White Poly Scrim 14 Greenhouse in clear will transmit 80% diffused light. Poly Scrim 14 Greenhouse in White allows 20% light transmission. Poly Scrim 14 Greenhouse in Black has almost no light transmission.  All Poly Scrim Greenhouse products are seam welded to reduce seam leakage.  They can be applied over your existing greenhouse structure in just a few minutes.   [![](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/32796/interactive-161513923687.png) ](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/hs/cta/wi/redirect?encryptedPayload=AVxigLJyr73Sxm3Fqbt%2FIsn%2Bt9X050Nm0HCWSjIjK9ywm7IVJ9qVM7UqyKW3oraYsq5WXLUV6iQtHdmsz%2BOcGlnD%2FHzu12uf4f9xr49IwMSd8tTyztJ162RoeEnmOJ7hgk1oXcf1H%2B8hsFx8JvZiLHHX%2FZS8&webInteractiveContentId=161513923687&portalId=32796&hsLang=en-us) [![Search for Fire Retardant films, tapes, greenhouse plastic](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/32796/5b9abe45-9e95-46a7-a36c-422a095c4829.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/32796/5b9abe45-9e95-46a7-a36c-422a095c4829)     ## **Hello Global Plastics...I want the best greenhouse plastic on the market....** **By Phone Toll Free In the U.S. (619) 448-4439** **By Email:**  gpsweb@g3tapes.com     **THANK YOU!** ### Quick Question... - [Home](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/?hsLang=en-us) | - [ Privacy Policy |](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/privacy-notice?hsLang=en-us) - [Terms Of Service |](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/terms-of-service?hsLang=en-us) - [ Who Are We?](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/who-are-we-/?hsLang=en-us) | - [ Core Values](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/core-values-global-plastic-sheeting/?hsLang=en-us) | -   - [ Shipping | Returns](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/shipping-and-returns/?hsLang=en-us) |  - [Videos of Products](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/videos-of-products/?hsLang=en-us) | - [ SEARCH | ](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/search-for-plastic-sheeting-tapes-strapping?hsLang=en-us)GPS - [ Line Card |](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/gps-line-card-plastic-sheeting/?hsLang=en-us)[ Contact](https://www.globalplasticsheeting.com/contact-us/?hsLang=en-us) G3 Tapes, Inc.  (619)448-4439 11639 Riverside Drive Suite 103 Lakeside CA 92040
