BGR 0600 is a water retention fleece specifically designed to enhance the water retention capacity of green roof systems. It is a non-woven made of synthetic fibers that are durable and do not rot. It can capture and store more than 7.5 times its own weight in water. It is lightweight, flexible and easy to install. Unlike reservoir drains where stagnant water is stored in segregated “cups”, BGR 0600 provides a uniform supply of water that is in direct contact with the growing medium making it readily accessible by the plants. It is a breathable fabric that creates good water-air balance that is important for plant health. BGR 0600 comes in convenient roll format. It is an environmental conscious green roof product that is made of 100% mixed recycled synthetic fibers.
• Extensive, semi-intensive and intensive green roofs

- Install BGR 0600 on drainage layer with a 2 in. (50 mm) side lap and end lap to achieve continuous coverage.
- Stagger adjacent rolls by at least 6 ft. (1.8 m) so end joints do not align.
- Install a second layer as needed to achieve higher water retention.
- Offset top and bottom layers by the roll’s width (i.e. 22” or 56 cm) so their overlaps do not line up. Cover BGR 0600 immediately after installation to prevent wind uplift and degradation by ultra-violet radiation.
