Condensation that creates dripping water depends on the humidity and temperature difference inside/outside. In greenhouses, that can be an issue. The film comes with an anti-condensate feature on the inner layer, so depending on humidity that usually lasts for roughly 3-5 years. After that, growers should spray an anti-condensate agent (like sun clear or reducondens) again. If you think about building designs, probably there will not be as much moisture, so it will be good for longer. If you use a double layer design, insulation will be improved and condensation on the inner layer much reduced.
We usually have no problems with insects inside of each layer of SolaWrap™. Since the edges of the films are sealed and back and front end will be sandwiched down on your structure, the films are pretty well sealed shut. Insects inside any house covered with SolaWrap tend to go up towards the light and will accumulate mostly at the top of each section or roof.
Similar as to the insect’s issue, there’s only very little problems with debris. The films stay very clear over time. In fact, we have done some interesting measurements on new versus old films. Usually some debris accumulates around the edges close to the ground. Pictured below is a greenhouse with 20 year old film, so you can get a little peak at real applications.
