We often get asked, "can I use 6 mil visqueen as a Koi pond liner"?
At Global Plastic Sheeting, we highly recommend against using Visqueen to line a Koi Pond. You should only use liners that are guaranteed safe for Fish and Plants. Visqueen is made from the least expensive resins available, and can include up to 25% post consumer recycled goods. Besides the fact that Visqueen (aka Construction/Agricultural Grade Polyethylene) is not guaranteed to be pinhole free, it can poison the fish and kill them. Only liners made with 100% virgin resins should be used to line any kind of pond where you will have fish or plants.
